Pennsylvania

We were here June 9-13, 2022. We didn’t spend a tremendous amount of time in Pennsylvania, but, it looks interesting and I think we will return someday. We were in State College and enjoyed several days here. We went to Bald Eagle State Park a few times as there was a large lake and plenty of places to walk around. Iris loved the lake too!

Irony at the Bald Eagle State Park!

Amish Country

State College was in Amish country and that was very interesting to me. We would drive on roads and see signs indicating that Amish people were in the neighborhood, we would see horse droppings on some roads and I was looking forward to seeing an Amish buggy on the roads.

Broken Washing Machine

Lancelot has a lot of super nice features! We have a full size washing machine in the vehicle as well as a dryer and a dishwasher. It is so convenient and I love being able to do laundry in the morning and being able to leave before the cycle completes. All that was great until today! When I ran the load this morning, I ended up with a flooded bedroom. Most of the water was caught by a draining pan (luckily) but there was a couple of gallons of water that I was going to have to get cleaned up. Luckily, we were in College Station and there was a Home Depot. So, off we went for our first wet/dry vac for the rig. We were able to buy the vacuum and get the water cleaned up but we decided we needed to try again. We did a couple of more loads and YUP! it was broken! Rich then spent a day trying to figure out how to remove the washer from the cabinet. He removed all the wood trim, tried to remove the dryer from the washer but then gave up. We just don’t know how to do all these fixes so once again, broken stuff needing service. UGH. So frustrating. It wasn’t the world’s greatest problem, but, it certainly was an irritant for the next five months.
